I have to say that while the editing was worlds better than the first two books (not perfect by any means but a huge improvement) this was otherwise a very disappointing read.Just like the first two books this one again spans only days, the entire series seems like a month or less.Over 75% is a journey on horseback riding through the demon realm and was so unbelievably boring especially after several chapters of more of the same. They basically wondered around hoping for a bit of gossip to lead them to where they were supposed to be.We knew last book the goddess Nyx gave Sage and her guys a mission to first concentrate on freeing the captive centers before she was ready to go against the big bad.Let's face it even after three entire books they aren't much better than they were right after becoming a supernatural, they don't have a handle on their powers they know next to nothing which was so tiring hearing again and again how ignorant they are.So many plot holes in every book with knowledge they had then suddenly surprised a little later. The guys had been trained and working for the agency under Mr. S but had never been to the academy or knew about the supernatural, but it was never really explained how another team they had come assist was trained at the academy and in the know. Levi uses secondary power then can't the reason, secondary power gets harder to find once the other powers grow stronger WTF?. I could go on and on.I thought the imprint tattoos were such a cool concept and I wanted to know more, but it was like once the soulmate tattoos came into the picture they got shoved to the side never to be heard from again.Around 80% they find, recon then free them and even that was boring. Fighting scenes should not be boring.It was way too easy to free them and then Sage meets an ancient center and at around 94% she's like I have so many questions to ask you and the lady replies I have so many answers to give ones you haven't even thought to ask yet.I'm like finally we might get some real answers instead of crumbs and more and more questions.But do we get those answers? No. They get to the academy with the freed captives and in thanks for saving someone's life are given a stone that will mute powers for an hour why you ask so they can finally get it on.Just in case you are thinking oh wow after three books I bet this is really going to be good, because surely the tension and chemistry should be sky high by now right?Nope. Sorry to say you will get a rushed scene that took up less than one complete page on my Kindle from start to finish including the few sentences before the words the end that brought up only more questions.Disappointing and dissatisfied all around for me. I know this is a new author and writing a book is a huge undertaking, but the story idea was very creative, it and the characters just had so much potential which made it really hard not to see them reach that potential.This book had so much filler it was really hard to get through it. I honestly think it was around 90% filler and for it to be labeled as complete is a travesty, because nothing is complete or answered except the very first thing on the list she was given. Honestly I thought right away that it didn't make sense because the order is huge why would they think they put all their eggs in one basket. The fact they've been strong for centuries but don't have multiple locations in all the realms and no one even thought that might be the case? Just dumb.It has me not wanting to read this author anymore, because I don't understand her logic or how she can think that this was a good stopping point.To the author if you see this please change the completed and maybe change the book titles. I'm assuming with the way this ends with her questioning the darkness inside of her and what tomorrow holds on top of all the unanswered questions and the undefeated big bad that this is far from truly over. So maybe do a season one in the book title book three etc. and then explain it in the blurb and ending of the book instead of saying completed. Use to be continued instead of the end. Then explain if we will have more books about this group or about another or maybe a few years later with the same group (since she had that vision of Kai at around 30 battling the order so they can't have defeated them all in later books without skipping ahead).See so many options and without clarifying the details you leave us readers totally lost and unsure not a good place when they should be getting excited about what is next. Also please warn in book one's blurb even if it will be popping up in later books that it'll have m/m in the series that way readers are aware and it will save you from bad reviews if someone doesn't want to read it.
