I recently acquired a Royal HH from 1954, and was VERY excited to find out that there was a large and ever growing community of typewriter users and fans in this modern era. I of course was also excited to find Polt’s book that delved into every area that I wanted to study and learn about.The topics he chose to write about were fascinating and he provided gorgeous photographs and a lot of resources for the beginning, novice, and expert typist. However, he threw in a lot of comments and references that I deemed to be inappropriate. The references made might not faze most people, but I don’t think it’s right for me to personally read this book, even if Polt stopped or slackened his use of vulgar words and examples.I would not recommend this book to children, and not even to adults.I was incredibly disappointed when I decided I just couldn’t read this book with a clear conscience. I sent it back after I had read two chapters. Amazon gave me a full refund and let me send it back for free.I hate to give a product, especially a book, a bad review, but I find that I must be completely honest.I am giving this book one star because of the completely uncalled for language and obscenity. However, I am also giving this book one single star because it was put together beautifully with a great binding, cover, photographs, and bookmark. Believe me when I say that I was deeply disappointed when I had to return this item. I truly mourned the loss of a great resource.-Grace
