I've read other books by this author and I found them pretty hit or miss. Some are good, some others not so much. This one falls into the not so much category.The first part of the book was fine. There was a good storyline and interesting interactions right up until Ben and Nando showed up uninvited at Trey's apartment. From that point until the end of the book - it was a hot mess. It was rushed, had little to no character development, was disjointed, and felt like pieces of the story were missing. From one chapter to the next there was missing information about why something was happening now. And the wrap-up was too neat and we got there too fast.I don't know if there was a word limit and so the author felt pressed to get It all in there so quickly or what, but from the uninvited drop ins at Trey's apartment to the end of the book it felt like a rough draft that didn't get fully fleshed out or finished.
